Apropos Aalborg
Apropos Aalborg is an internal project developed by my colleagues and me at Apropos Bureau. Apropos Aalborg is a news media outlet like MigOgAalborg and Aalborg LigeHer.nu, where one can read press releases relevant to Aalborg and its surroundings.

Design and Development
The project landed on my desk after my colleagues had prepared a design and brand guide, which included guidelines for the logo, color palette, and typography. I had the freedom to design and develop the rest myself.
I wanted it to resemble a real newspaper, both in structure and colors. Therefore, I used many references to actual newspapers while also conducting a competitor analysis to see which design patterns were used.
In Figma, I created wireframes of the homepage and article pages and user-tested them with my colleagues. Then I began developing the website, applying the correct colors and fonts, and started adding articles.
To make the website extra appealing, I developed a custom-built burger menu as well as numerous micro-animations on hover and click at various places on the site, which can be seen by visiting the website.
Easy to Publish New Articles
To make the process of publishing new articles as efficient as possible for us, I used WordPress’ built-in blog post functionality. I created categories that all articles could fit into, and developed a template for the article structure. This made it very easy to add a new article to the website.
